Friday May 2 - Famous Works/Stories
Friday May 2
5-6 pm
Bring along your favorite short story to share—or just come to listen and get inspired! We'll have plenty of examples available, so no pressure. After we read and discuss some of our favorites, we'll dive into creating our own original stories.
For this session, we’ll be reading and exploring Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by Rudyard Kipling. Together, we’ll look at its structure, themes, and storytelling techniques. Then, you’ll begin writing your own short story, with the option to receive editing help and encouragement along the way.
If time allows, we’ll end by sharing our stories with the group.
As always, bring your favorite beverage, your journal, and your favorite writing tool. If you forget, don’t worry—journals and writing supplies will be available for you.
